Meet the Client
Fastening House Atlantic is a locally owned and operated supplier serving the construction and industrial markets across Atlantic Canada for over 30 years. The company provides construction and industrial supplies across more than 35,000 product categories from trusted manufacturers.
With locations in Dartmouth and Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Fastening House Atlantic serves contractors, construction companies and industrial customers throughout the region. The company's reach also extends to southwestern Nova Scotia through Topline Industrial Sales in Yarmouth.
More than a large product catalogue, Fastening House Atlantic's business is built around knowledgeable local service. Its experienced sales team works with customers in-store and on-site, helping contractors find the products and solutions they need, with delivery available within 24 hours to most Maritime locations. Long-standing supplier relationships, experienced employees and an established customer base have helped Fastening House Atlantic become a trusted source for construction and industrial supplies in Nova Scotia and across Atlantic Canada.
The Challenge
Our team has worked with Fastening House Atlantic since 2016, supporting the company as its business and marketing needs have evolved. Over time, it became clear that the company's existing website no longer represented how Fastening House Atlantic operated. The old site placed significant emphasis on online sales, while the business itself was built around something broader: serving contractors and industrial customers through extensive product knowledge, strong supplier relationships, direct sales support and responsive local service.
The website needed to better communicate that value while making it easier for customers to understand Fastening House Atlantic's products, suppliers and capabilities. A technical issue with the existing website eventually accelerated the need for change. When security concerns meant the old website had to be taken offline, Fastening House Atlantic needed an immediate solution while a completely new website was being developed.
Rather than leave customers facing a broken or unavailable website, our team quickly developed a temporary branded landing page. This ensured customers could continue to find the company online, access essential information and see a professional Fastening House Atlantic presence throughout the transition.
The Solution: A Website Built Around the Business
Our team designed and developed a modern website structured around how Fastening House Atlantic operates today. Instead of positioning the website primarily as an online store, the new site presents the company as an established Atlantic Canadian supplier and resource for contractors and industrial customers.
The website provides a stronger platform for showcasing Fastening House Atlantic's product categories, supplier relationships, locations and services while giving the company a digital foundation that is easier to maintain, support and evolve. Security, maintainability and long-term usability were important considerations throughout the redevelopment.
Protecting the Brand Beyond the Website
Our work extended beyond the website itself. Our team has continued to support Fastening House Atlantic's social media presence, including troubleshooting account access and working with the company's team to restore appropriate ownership and administrative access to its social media properties.
Establishing clear company ownership of these digital assets was important not only for day-to-day marketing but also for protecting the company's long-term control of its online presence. With the accounts properly established, we continue to manage and create social media content that supports Fastening House Atlantic's products, suppliers, promotions and business activities.
A Partnership That Evolves
Since 2016, our work with Fastening House Atlantic has changed alongside the company — from marketing and social media support to website redevelopment, digital asset management, graphic design and ongoing communications.
Our role is to understand where the business is going and help Fastening House Atlantic choose practical digital and marketing solutions that support what it needs now, without losing sight of what it may need next. That's what a long-term agency partnership should do.
